An extraordinary retreat perched atop the estate, The Granite House is ideal for couples yet perfectly suited for up to four guests. This stunning house combines rustic charm with modern comfort. Surrounded by natural beauty and built from raw stone, The Granite House offers a cozy, intimate atmosphere with breathtaking views – the perfect destination for those seeking tranquility and style.

Due to the nature of the estate, it is not recommended for families with children under the age of 12.

Upon entering The Granite House, you are welcomed by an impressive oversized lounge sofa that dominates the stylish living area. The space is further enhanced by vintage Nodo chairs from 1976, designed by Mauro Pasquinelli, and the iconic The Rock sofa by renowned Dutch designer Gerard van den Berg. A vintage Moon lamp, attributed to Verner Panton, adds an artistic touch.


The well-equipped kitchen and chic bathroom, featuring dark plastered walls, offer both style and functionality. A cozy wood stove and underfloor heating keep you warm during the winter, while air conditioning on both floors ensures comfort during warmer days.

A solid oak staircase leads to a charming mezzanine featuring a spacious double bed and ample storage.

Eco-friendly amenities from 8950 Cosmetics, a local Algarve brand, are provided. These products are made with 99% natural ingredients and are free from microplastics.

Outside, you can relax on the expansive terraces with stunning views of the vineyard. The Granite House also boasts an herb garden and an orchard with fruit trees, including lemon, orange, lime, and the rare Pera de Monchique apple. A beautiful plunge pool with a deck, sun loungers, and umbrellas offers the perfect spot to unwind in this idyllic setting.

The Granite House is part of the stunning Quinta da Lila estate. All houses on the estate can be rented individually but are also ideal for group stays. When rented individually, every guest enjoys ample privacy and serenity. Additionally, no young children (under 12 years old) are present on the estate, contributing to a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere.


The Granite House is available for rent with a minimum stay of 4 nights, with no fixed check-in day, allowing for arrival and departure on any day of your choice. However, during July, August, and the Christmas and New Year period, a minimum stay of 7 nights applies. Additionally, bookings during this period must either connect with an existing reservation or leave a gap of at least 7 nights between two reservations.

We stayed for a week in one of the houses at Quinta da Lila. A comfortable home for two people with a beautiful view from several terraces. The house is furnished with high-quality (garden) furniture and accessories. Communication with the landlord and owner is excellent, and they do everything possible to make the stay as pleasant as possible. One nice addition would be to equip the windows and entrance door with screens. This might not fit the design aesthetic, but it would definitely increase comfort. For visitors planning to cook for themselves, a tip: the kitchen does not have a built-in stovetop, but two electric hot plates instead. My advice is to use these mainly outside because cooking and frying odors tend to drift up to the sleeping area and linger. By the way, outside there is a fantastic 'red' egg barbecue waiting for you.

Rental conditions

Included in the Rental Price  
The rental price includes the use of water, electricity, WiFi, final cleaning (unless agreed otherwise), pool maintenance, and garden upkeep. The rental price does not include firewood for the fireplace.

Security Deposit  
The security deposit of €500 is to be paid prior to arrival, together with the second payment of 70%. This deposit will be refunded upon departure, provided no damage has been caused during your stay. In the event of damage, part or all of the deposit may be withheld, and any additional damage costs must also be paid.

Payment  
Upon booking, you will receive the rental agreement, confirmation, and directions. The reservation is only finalized after a 30% deposit of the rental price is paid. The remaining balance, including the aforementioned security deposit, must be paid no later than 8 weeks before arrival in Portugal.

Cancellation  
In the event of cancellation by the tenant(s), the following cancellation fees will apply:  
a. Cancellations made up to 8 weeks before the first day of the booked stay: 30% of the rental price.  
b. Cancellations made less than 8 weeks before the first day of the booked stay: the full invoice amount.

Arrival and Departure  
You may check into the accommodation after 4:00 PM, and you must vacate the accommodation by 10:00 AM to allow for cleaning.

Liability  
Portugalvillas/landlord(s) accept no liability for any accidents or incidents during your stay in and around the accommodation, regardless of the circumstances under which they occur.

Additional Recommendations
