Casa Joana l Light, open, and homely with an eye for detail and design

This was my first booking with Portugal Villas. Tom and his team deliver, I highly recommend booking with them. Communication was simple and straightforward and the check-in process was without delay. As for the selection of properties, I was very impressed with the villas they manage. We stayed at Casa Joana in Silves and it was epic. My family of four loved the design and all of the amenities,  from roof top sun deck and bar to the lovely pool in the courtyard. Very modern and thoughtful design set in an unassuming street at the centre of Silves. We enjoyed every inch of the casa and plan to return.

We had a wonderful week in this townhouse, with a fantastic rooftop terrace (especially in the mornings and evenings) and the plunge pool is also great. The manager Natalia is always available and happy to provide helpful tips about the area.

Das moderne Haus war ganz wunderbar. Es strahlt Ruhe und Ästhetik aus. Ein Gesamtkunstwerk, indem man sich sofort wie Zuhause fühlt. Die Schlafzimmer haben eine gute Atmosphäre, die Betten sind sehr bequem und der Ausblick auf die großen Bananenbäume und die nistende Störche ist besonders schön! Hervorzuheben ist die große Freundlichkeit von Natali und ihrem Partner.

What a house! I had the opportunity to stay here for eight weeks in the spring of 2024. I had a truly wonderful time there, not least because of this beautiful house. When you are inside, a blanket of peace falls over you. The design and furnishings are unique, everything is perfectly matched with care and taste. Natalia, the manager of the house, also takes good care of everything, is perfectly accessible and gives you good tips about the area. All in all a big 10!

Beautiful space in the middle of Silves - airy, modern, light and very comfortable. Our kids enjoyed the little pool. Host was responsive and helpful. The street parking is quite narrow but you can park nearby in a car park for free if you have a bigger car. Silves is a very pleasant town.

The house was fantastic. It exceeded our expectations, especially since the rooftop terrace now features an outdoor bar with a canopy, an outdoor shower, and lounge sofas. The location is very central, with Lidl just around the corner. Lovely open spaces and beautiful art on the walls. We were warmly welcomed by the local host, Natalia. The Medieval Fair in Silves made our stay even better. It’s a great location to explore the Algarve.

I’ve stayed at several rental properties in Silves, and this is by far the most beautiful, modern, and relaxing. The inside is clean, airy, and open, and the outdoor spaces are magical (I especially loved stargazing on the roof deck at night, and taking a dip in the small cocktail pool). Highly recommend!

Beautiful villa, great communication, everything well arranged. A fantastic selection of unique houses. The website is clear, with great photos. The house exceeded our expectations. Nous avons passé un super séjour à Silves dans la maison de Johan. La maison est incroyable!! L'architecture, l'ameublement, les peintures aux murs, la vaisselle... C'est du haut de gamme! C'est très difficile...d'en partir! La ville de Silves est agréable avec commerces et restaurants à proximité de la maison. Silves est bien situé pour visiter l'Algarve. Nous recommandons vivement cette location.

We absolutely loved our stay here. The house is immaculate. Stylish and comfortable. We have two young kids and they loved the space. The location couldn’t be better - restaurants, local market and Lidl all around the corner. Natalia, our host, was lovely. Really helpful and gave plenty of tips on the area. We couldn’t fault anything.

Tom was helpful and answered all our questions very quickly. The house is very modern, it was a pleasure to stay their. All was well organised, the house has everything you need during your stay. there is a big parking very close to the house but in any case we always found a place on the street next to the door. Also, a shop is next door, very convenient too. Overall, the stay was perfect.

A modern hideaway dream nestled in between remarkable homes from a time past. We felt like we lived in this special little local neighborhood where music and narrow alleys hiding gardens and restaurants intermingled. A special little dream of a spot. The pictures represent the special nature of this home exactly. Truly humbled that we can stay under these imaginitive circumstances while visiting such a cool little slice of Portugal. Hosts were knowledgeable, helpful and prompt.

Through Tom from Portugal Villas we booked the city villa Casa Joana in Silves. This villa exceeded all our expectations! The contact with Tom went smoothly, full information provided in advance and very helpful in helping us to look at the possibilities to check in earlier if that would be possible (early flight and arrival with two small children). Casa Joana is a hit, highly recommended for anyone who enjoys a tastefully furnished villa that exudes tranquility with terraces around the corner and a large supermarket.

Just returned from a truly wonderful holiday in beautiful Portugal. We were allowed to stay 15 days in Stadsvilla Joana l Urban beachlife & Design and what an amazing experience that was! From the moment we stepped in we felt fantastic here. The house is great, the location is great and all the comforts that the house offers are more than extensive! Nothing but praise, we will definitely be back!

Surprising experience, from the moment you open the entrance door you are inspired by beautiful pure architecture in detail so beautiful, also the reception and explanation is fine the location is great in a nice quiet town.

We stayed at Casa Joana for 10 days in November. And wow what a beautiful accommodation. Everything was right. The reception and tour by a very friendly lady made us feel very welcome. Every day was a pleasure to stay here. The fresh open spaces, colorful art and extensive inventory have ensured that we had a wonderful holiday. Next time on holiday with portugalvillas!

The first week we stayed at Casa Joana in Silves.It's hard to put into words how awesome this house is. This house bears the name of the architect particularly well! In one of the narrow streets in the center of Silves, Casa Joana is hidden behind the existing original outer wall. You don't expect it, when you open the front door, you don't know where to look!We were so impressed, truly an architectural gem. Everything is correct and is very spacious, the glass sliding wall on both sides of the house can be completely opened for an even wider effect and become 1 whole outside and inside. There are outdoor areas on both sides of the house.

Casa Joana is highly recommended, especially if you like peace and privacy like us, but still want to stay in the center of Silves. The restaurants and supermarket are around the corner and within walking distance. Almost forgot, the roof terrace is really fantastic to start the day with a cup of coffee and a book in the lovely lounge set, the sun rises and meanwhile the storks fly over your head :-) To cool off there is a plunge pool in the garden, surrounded with the most beautiful plants. In short, a very exclusive & luxurious house where you will not miss anything and actually do not want to leave! Saudades de casa.
