About Portela house l Spacious and minimalist design with a patio and pool

In the rolling landscape of the Algarve, between the mountains and the ocean, lies Portela house, an authentic Portuguese house for 4 + 2 people. The two sisters have transformed their grandparents' childhood home into a beautiful residence, with a spacious and minimalist design, where you become underwater through rugged nature, charming villages and the Atlantic Ocean.

The house has been carefully put together with the characteristic white walls on the outside and the same white walls and stylish furnishings inside. The house is tastefully decorated in every detail with wooden furniture, old terracotta pots, works of art and beautiful materials. There are 2 bedrooms with very comfortable beds. From the bedrooms you have access to a small patio at the back of the house. The bathroom has a spacious walk-in shower and is equipped with luxurious towels and custom-made toiletries. The living room with open kitchen and dining table offers a view of the garden. The kitchen is fully equipped for preparing delicious meals. Set the table under the veranda and enjoy an extensive dinner outdoors.

Outside you will find the pergola-covered patio with dining table and swimming pool. You will probably spend a lot of time in the garden with inviting sunbeds and hammocks. Take a dip or dream away under the Portuguese sun. If you prefer to lie on the beach, you can stand with your feet in the sand at one of the many beaches with impressive rock formations within 20 minutes.

Great house

The House is a wonderfully nice house with a lovely garden that offers a lot of privacy. There are sunbeds by the pool, a BBQ and a nice dining table with chairs. The kitchen is very complete with a large fridge/freezer, oven, dishwasher, pans, etc. Everything is there. The bedrooms offer plenty of closet space, the beds are quite firm. The bathroom is spacious with a good shower. LIDL supermarket is a few minutes drive away for delicious morning sandwiches. In short, a lovely house with a very attentive owner, Rita. She offered us an early check-in and a late check-out which we really appreciated!

Tastefully decorated

The House is beautifully situated in the mountains, but the many hotspots of the Algarve are also within a good driving distance. The house is very tastefully decorated and fully equipped. The owners have paid a lot of attention to renovating the house, with an eye for detail. In addition, Rita is a very hospitable and helpful owner who does everything she can to make her guests happy. Both the accommodation and the location certainly guarantee a wonderful stay in the Algarve.

Algarve - Boliqueime

The small town of Boliqueime, situated in the heart of the Algarve, is ideal if you want to explore various Portuguese villages and cities or visit one of the many beaches. In this village, you will find small cobbled streets, a white church, and charming restaurants and bars.

On the coast, you will discover picture-perfect beaches with impressive rock formations, caves, and cliffs. There are many lovely beaches and coves in the immediate vicinity, separated by rocks but connected by coastal paths.

There are beautiful places along the coast that are definitely worth a visit, such as Loulé (13 km), a historic town with cozy streets lined with boutique shops, delightful restaurants, and a massive market hall filled with fresh produce. Also, Olhão (37 km), a small fishing village, is definitely worth a visit.

Faro Airport is a 30-minute drive away. Within a 40-minute drive is the protected natural area of Ria Formosa, a 60-kilometer-long lagoon with a maze of islands, white beaches, and dunes featuring native plants and wildlife. Here, you can not only enjoy excellent hiking but also spot animals or go for a bike ride.

Additionally, there are spectacular beaches and coves where you can often enjoy the view all by yourself.

Rental conditions

Conditions
The rental price includes the use of Wi-Fi, air conditioning, water and electricity, final cleaning (unless agreed otherwise) and maintenance of the swimming pool and garden.

Payment
Upon booking, a deposit of 30% of the total amount is required. The remaining amount, including the deposit, must be paid 8 weeks before arrival in Portugal.
The reservation is only confirmed after the 30% deposit has been paid.

Deposit
With the second payment, you will be requested to pay a deposit of €300. If no damage is caused during your stay, the deposit will be refunded to your bank account within 7 days. In the event of damage, part or all of the deposit may be withheld, and additional payment may be required for any damages incurred.

Cancellation
If the rental agreement is canceled by the tenant(s), the following cancellation fees will apply:
a. If canceled up to 8 weeks before the first day of the booked stay: 30% of the rental fee.
b. If canceled less than 8 weeks before the first day of the booked stay: the full invoice amount.

Arrival and Departure
You can check into the accommodation after 4:00 PM and must vacate the accommodation before 11:00 AM to allow for cleaning.

Liability
Portugalvillas / the landlord(s) accept no liability for any accidents during your stay in Portugal, particularly in and around the accommodation, regardless of the cause.
